A cultural tour in the Athonian state by minibus with multiple visiting 12 holly monasteries in a total of 20 monasteries that are found in Agion Oros.
DETAILED ITINERARY*
Day 1: Morning embarkation to the ferry to enter the restricted area of Agion Oros. Arrival to Dafni port and transfer by bus to Karyes, the administrative center of Agion Oros. In Karyes we will visit Koutloumousiou monastery and the Protato, where the icon of Axion Esti is kept. Overnight in the Skete of Agios Andreas.
Day 2: Full day tour (6 hours) with visits to the following holly monasteries, Simonopetra, Xiropotamou, Panteleimonos (Russian) and Xenofontos Overnight in Xenofontos monastery. Optional visit to Dohiariou monastery (half an hour hike).
Day 3: Full day tour (6 hours) with visits to the following holly monasteries, Vatopediou, Pantokratoros, Stavronikita, Iviron, Karakalou and Filotheou. Overnight in Iviron monastery.
Day 4: Transfer by minibus to Karies and then by bus to Dafni port. Exit the Athonian state by ferry. Arrival time in Ouranoupoli at 15:00 approximately. End of services.

Included: Guesthouse accommodation in Ouranoupoli the day before our entry. Entrance fees & procedures, guiding, all land and sea transfers (boat, minivan, bus), 2 times communal food in the monasteries (days of fasting one time), accommodation in the monasteries with shared facilities with hot water.
